Regular Sessions

Most of our students meet with us every week. Day, time, location, duration, and rate of lessons are kept the same each week, and any exceptions can be pre-arranged between you and your tutor.

Drop-in Sessions

We are happy to help out any student who is serious about their academic goals. Even if it’s just a few sessions, if it can make a difference, then we are on-board. All of our tutors are open to taking drop-in students depending on their availability. Learn more about our tutors and see their current schedules here.

In-Person

Location for in-person lessons is pre-arranged between you and your tutor. Popular locations are local coffee shops, libraries, and student homes. You will need to bring all the relevant learning material to your lesson.

Online

We offer the exact same services virtually as we do in-person. You will need an electronic device that can support video calling (Zoom or equivalent), as well as a quiet space to learn. Your tutor will screen-share to a note-taking app (ex. GoodNotes) during your session so that you may follow along with any notes, solutions, and PDF markups in real-time. Immediately following your session, your tutor will consolidate everything that was written and send it to your inbox. For students who opt to have their sessions recorded, your tutor will send you a recording of your session as well.

IB/AP

Many of our tutors are experienced in teaching students in Advanced Placement (AP) courses or who are enrolled in the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. We know these programs have their own challenges and altered curriculum, many of which encompass university level topics in high school level courses. Our teachers have studied these topics in various post-secondary institutions in order to teach you effectively. Reach out today so we can begin working towards a 5 in your AP classes and a 7 in your IB program!

Test Prep

Sometimes students just want a bit of help before an upcoming test or exam. Since we do offer “drop-in” lessons which are on a more ad hoc basis, we are more than happy to help with upcoming exams! Reach out today and let us know what kind of test is approaching. We will match you with an appropriate tutor and begin your lessons to best prepare you for the test. We will work through any practice material you have, identify key topics you may need to improve on, and recommend study tactics for the upcoming exam.

Private And Group Lessons

Most of our students take private lessons. The lesson will wholly focus on your needs at the time of the lesson: previewing challenging material, working on assignments, and/or targeting key concepts before assessments.

Group lessons can be set up if both students are at a similar level and progress in the subject. Please reach out for more information on rates and logistics for group sessions.
